For every child to have a book.
For every child to have a book.
The Philly Book Bank is a 501©3 non-profit organization located at Martin Luther King High School in Philadelphia, PA, providing books for children birth through high school. Books are selected and distributed in bulk through community events, placement in sidewalk libraries, and partnerships with private, governmental, and local organizations. The Philly Book Bank creates literacy-rich spaces by giving educators, community organizations, children, and families access to free, high-quality, culturally diverse children’s books. Visitors are welcome to visit at designated times.
We can only do this through the generosity of individual, community, and corporate partners and the hard work of our many volunteers. The Philly Book Bank is committed to raising a city of readers and providing Philadelphia's children with opportunities to find books to call their own. For 25+ years, the Philly Book Bank has been providing over 30,000 books annually.
Your generous donation will fund our mission of raising a city of readers.
Together, our hands
Can reach.
Can stretch.
Can teach.
